When you back up your EasyID account to Google Drive, a message is displayed saying “EasyID would like to access your contacts”. The wording of this message is set by Google themselves, and we can't change it.
Although the message might seem to imply the Post Office EasyID app is going to access your contacts, in actual fact we only store a Recovery File on your Google Drive, without accessing any other data there.
Note that the backup does not place a copy of your personal data and attributes on your Google Drive. It simply stores a recovery key that enables us to reconnect you with your own EasyID account if you need to reinstall the Post Office EasyID app (for example, if you get a new phone). Your personal data and attributes are held securely in EasyID’s data centres.
